Freshman Jasmine Ching placed in the top five for the second time this season as Pacific finished third as a team at the Wildcat Invitational on Monday at the Michelbook Country Club.
Ching shot an 18-hole round of 83 to lead the Boxers, finishing just four strokes behind medalist Lisa Schmidt of Concordia. The Cavaliers placed three golfers in the top five to run away with the team title with a combined team score of 327.
Host Linfield finished second with a combined team score of 361, just two strokes ahead of Pacific and the Boxers' score of 363. Linfield's Leslie Wheeler was the top Northwest Conference golfer, finishing two strokes ahead of Ching with an 81.
Pacific returns to the links on Sunday, traveling to Newberg for George Fox's first ever tournament at the Chehalem Glenn Golf Course.
