Police arrest car-prowling pair
West Linn police on Monday nabbed a husband-and-wife team from Beaverton accused of breaking into cars at a local apartment complex.
Rachael L. Boehme, 31, and her husband, Jason E. Boehme, 34, were cited and released at Clackamas County Jail on charges of unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, attempted unlawful entry of a vehicle and third-degree theft.
The case began at about 3:45 a.m. Monday, when a citizen reported seeing two people trying to break into cars at 19500 Hidden Springs Road and provided police with a description of the thieves and their get-away vehicle.
Lake Oswego Police Officer Eric Druliner, assisting with the case, stopped a car whose driver and passenger matched the description, and West Linn Police Officers Ryan Lesmeister and Tommy Newberry subsequently recovered items stolen from multiple West Linn cars from the suspects' vehicle.
