Corbett recovered from a 9-0 deficit in Game 2, coming back to beat Nestucca in four games in a Northwest League showdown Tuesday night.

Corbett used long serving runs by Catherine Jones and Caitlin Spanjer to pull even at 16-16. The Bobcats tried to answer the challenge, but Jones hit a shot over a pair of blockers and landed it perfectly on the backline for a 22-20 Corbett lead. Teammate Maggie Young blasted a kill from the left side to end the game 25-22.

'We were out of it in the first game, but that comeback swung the momentum our way and really got our crowd going,' Spanjer said.

Corbett dominated action in Game 3 and used a late burst to end the match in Game 4. The Cardinals (7-0) remain in first place.

• In other Northwest League action, Portland Lutheran earned a sweep against Gaston.

• In the Mount Hood Conference, Barlow turned away a challenge in Game 2 and swept Sandy.
