St. Agatha School receives new Principal
St. Agatha School in Sellwood has welcomed Joe Bridgeman as its new Principal. Mr. Bridgeman comes to St. Agatha from the New Urban High School in the North Clackamas School District, where he served as Assistant Principal for three years.
A native of Oregon, Mr. Bridgeman was raised in the Salem area, and graduated from North Salem High School. He completed his undergraduate degree at Linfield College and his graduate degree at Pacific University. He began his career in education 11 years ago, beginning at Holy Family School.
He and his wife DeOna reside in Canby with their sons Alex and Isaac, who themselves attend St. Agatha School. 'I can think of nowhere else I'd rather be than at St. Agatha,' he said. 'I have truly never worked with a better faculty or school community.'
Mr. Bridgeman's predecessor, Sara Collins, resigned to accept the principalship at a Catholic school in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
