Tualatin girls win at Invite
The Tualatin High School girls cross country team just keeps on winning.
The Wolves got their latest win on Saturday, when they triumphed at the 13-school Bryant Park Invitational.
The deep Tualatin squad took first place with a team score of 49 points. Wilsonville took second place at 75.
Junior Devon Frazier led the way for Tualatin at the invitational. She placed fifth, individually, with a time of 19 minutes, 49.9 seconds for the 5,000-meter race.
Freshman Emily Wheeler was right behind her in sixth with a time of 19:53.4. Junior Hannah Points ran to 11th at 20:22.3, Melissa Arndorfer was 15th at 21:03.5, Jeanette Jones was 17th at 21:04.2, Amanda Welter was 19th at 21:05.1 and Kelsey Stilson was 24th at 21:10.6.
The Tualatin boys finished seventh in the team standings with 182 points.
Timothy Plunkett paced the Wolves, finishing 17th in 17:13.5. Kevin Oliver was 28th at 17:30.8, Gary Roberson was 33rd at 17:40.6, Will Downey was 42nd at 17:47.7, Neil LaTourette was 62nd at 18:24.8, Michael Nelson wsa 65th at 18:29.6 and Patrick Kubisiak was 72nd at 18:43.7.
