Women's soccer: The Portland Pilots take an eight-game win streak into today's 5 p.m. home game against San Francisco (the UP men face Gonzaga at 7:30).
The Pilot women will play the rest of the year without star midfielder Megan Rapinoe, who had surgery for a torn anterior cruciate ligament. The Pilots (11-2-1) are 3-0 in games she has missed (wins over Oregon, Washington and Gonzaga). UP also plays host to Saint Mary's at 2 p.m. Sunday at Merlo Field.
Portland State (1-11-1, 1-1-0 Big Sky) welcomes two conference foes to PGE Park this weekend, taking on Eastern Washington at 7 tonight and Montana at 1 p.m. Sunday. Freshman goalkeeper Cris Lewis was the Big Sky player of the week after making nine saves in both a 1-0 win over Idaho State and a 2-1 loss to Weber State.
Concordia (12-1-1, 6-0 Cascade Conference) is ranked fifth in the nation and first in its region.
Volleyball: PSU (12-5, 7-1) opens the second half of Big Sky play with a match at 7 tonight at Stott Center against Weber State. The Vikings play Saturday at Eastern Washington.
