Warm weather and cool music drew crowds at Tanner Creek Park last Thursday in West Linn, where the blues outfit The Ty Curtis Band performed as part of the sixth annual Music in the Park concert series.

The Salem-based band, which earned a second place award at the 2009 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tenn., has performed at festivals throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.

The Music in the Park concert series is held Thursdays through Aug. 25 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Tanner Creek Park, 3340 Parker Road in West Linn.

This year's remaining line up includes:

* Aug. 4 - Fernando Viciconte;

* Aug. 11 - Chris Loid Band;

* Aug. 18 - Pepe and the Bottle Blondes;

* Aug. 25 - The Chris Baum Project.
