Start your engines for Summer Daze

The Scappoose Historical Society's Summer Daze Annual Vintage Specialty Car and Truck Show is back for its ninth year of food, entertainment and, naturally, the big draw: cars.
The car show portion of Summer Daze is open to anyone with a car or truck from the 1940s or newer, along with foreign cars, convertibles, sports cars or handcrafted cars.
It costs $10 to pre-enter the show and $15 to register on the day of the show Aug. 13. Judges will hand out a number of awards starting at 3 p.m.
during Summer Daze.
Summer Daze, held at Heritage Park in Scappoose, is free to the public and will include food, a raffle, entertainment and tours of the Watts House Pioneer Museum.
