Next: The Winter Hawks travel to Spokane for a 7 p.m. game Wednesday. Seattle makes its first trip here at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Memorial Coliseum; Portland visits the T-Birds on Saturday.

Trib player of week: Goalie Kurtis Mucha, 16, continues to impress. He held the Hawks together in Sunday's ugly 4-2 win over Chilliwack, the team's third victory in a row. He simply doesn't get down after a bad goal or a bad play. 'It's what makes Kurtis an extremely good goaltender,' coach Mike Williamson says. 'Kurtis is a very accountable person.'

Notes: The Winter Hawks are looking for takers on defenseman Jordie Fike, who has been a healthy scratch lately. He's at home in Alberta awaiting word on a trade.
