Woodstock volunteer receives award

by: Andrew Robinson, Dawn Andrews, receiving her award

On September 21st, Dawn Andrews was named the Portland Impact's 'Volunteer of the Year' at the organization's annual awards banquet at the Laurelhurst Club in Southeast Portland.

A resident of the Woodstock neighborhood, by profession a Public Defender and a member of the Woodstock N.E.T. team, Ms. Andrews has served as a 'friendly visitor' to local resident and honored citizen Ethel Fitch for over three years.

In accepting the award from Deb Kovach-Leon, a Portland Impact Administrative Assistant, Ms. Andrews expressed her personal embarrassment in receiving an award for doing something that brought her so much joy.
