Its Diversity Week

The Sandy High Update

This week, Sandy High School is focusing on the student body's diverse cultural backgrounds during Diversity Week. There's going to be an assembly and various activities throughout the week.

It's also winter athletic clearance week, which means that winter sports such as basketball, wrestling and swimming are just around the corner. They will start the last week of November.

The Japanese Club is holding a fundraiser and selling French candy. Poinsettias are still on sale for the Senior All-Night Party. The Sandy High School Softball team is still having its pop can drive and there are several drop off locations in and around Sandy. Donations and sales are greatly appreciated.

This weekend the National College Fair will be at the Oregon Convention Center. It will be open to interested students from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, and from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Nov. 6.

A student council meeting will be held Wednesday, Nov. 8, in the commons. Mock job interviews for personal finance students will be held Thursday, Nov. 9, in Gym B.
