Stained glass artist Linda Owens' work featured in November at the Spiral Gallery
The Spiral Gallery will feature the work of stained glass artist Linda Owens during the November show.
An artists' reception will be held on First Friday, November 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. The show will run through December 1.
Owens stained glass windows, doors and furniture have been featured in the Northwest Natural Show of Homes, Tour of Elegance, Design Showcase, Parade of Home and the Street of Dreams.
Owens lives in Eagle Creek with her husband, DW, and their business partner, friend and fellow artist Terry Jelliffe. They operate the original glass art business called Linal Art. One of the attractions to the area was the artist community. When the Spiral Gallery became a co-op, she was one of the first members. 'In every community that we've been in we've participated in the neighborhood businesses in some way,' she said.
Owns works with builders and remodelers who want to include stained or etched glass in their projects. She also teaches art classes from her home studio. 'My goal is not only to promote myself, but also those who have worked with me and talented people that I have collaborated with,' Owens said. 'I find that if I bring other people up with me, it helps not only me, but them, too. It always comes back to you.'
She will show and sell pieces during the November art show that range from $45 up to $10,000. The centerpiece of the show will be a mock door with a Gallic design. It was featured in a home and remodeling show at the Portland Convention Center in September.
The Spiral Gallery, 341 South Broadway, is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. For more information about Linal Art, log onto Linalart.com. For more information about the show, call 503-630-7273 or log onto thespiralgallery.com.
