St. Helens fall sports practices scheduled

Teams have been working out unofficially all summer

It may seem like school just got out, but fall sports contests are just three weeks off and unofficial practices start next week.

Athletes may officially turn out for sports on Monday, Aug. 22.

A fee of $150 must be paid prior to that date. Sports physicals are required of all incoming freshmen and juniors. The athletic office is open Aug. 11 to pay fees. Fall sports schedules are online at: www.highschoolsports.net.

Practice schedules:

Cross County-The summer running program began in June. Practices start Aug. 22 at 8:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, at the St. Helens High track.

Football- Captain's camp will begin Aug. 15 from 9-10:30 a.m. and 3-5 p.m.

Official practices begin with daily doubles at 9 a.m., Aug. 22.

Freshman orientation was held in June. The summer fitness program began in late June and ran four days a week. Head coach: John England- This email address is being protected from spambots. Volleyball-Summer team camp is Aug. 7-11 in Seaside. Practices run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the St. Helens High gymnasium, starting Aug. 22.
