Shakespeare's 'Twelfe Night'
WHAT: The Original Practice Shakespeare (OPS) Troupe will perform William Shakespeare's 'Twelfe Night' on the Center for the Arts Plaza using the same performance techniques as actors did in Shakespeare's own time, which means energetic acting and lots of audience interaction in an outdoor setting. A youth Shakespeare Camp to be conducted by the professional actors of Original Practice Shakespeare, previously planned for the week, was postponed until summer 2012.
WHEN: 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14.
WHERE: Center for the Arts Plaza, 401 N.E. Second St.
COST: Free. The public is invited to bring blankets and chairs and enjoy a summer day on the plaza experiencing Shakespeare.

Perseid Meteor Shower Watch
WHAT: Stargazers are invited to watch and enjoy the wonder of the Perseid Meteor Shower, which occurs when the Earth enters the path of debris left by the comet Swift-Tuttle in its last trip past the sun. The comet last passed by Earth in December 1992. Volunteers will have telescopes set up for attendees to use.
WHEN: 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12.
WHERE: Rooster Rock State Park in Corbett, exit 25 off of Interstate 84.
COST: Parking is $5 per vehicle.
