'Operation School Supplies' on now in Forest Grove

Forest Grove School District's annual 'Operation School Supplies' drive that aids students from low-income families is going on now. B Street Storage (1610 B St., Forest Grove) has a collection box for supplies. Patrons can drop items off there and they will be delivered to the school district. Visit for more information.

Sports physicals available

Several options are available for Forest Grove School District students needing sports physicals to participate in fall activities. Three clinics are scheduled at the Forest Grove High School Based Health Center, and the cost is $30. Call 503-359-5564 for an appointment. Dates are Saturday, Aug. 13, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday, Aug. 17, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Monday, Aug. 22, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Volunteers needed for elementary libraries

All seven elementary schools in the Forest Grove School District need volunteers this year to help students check out books and to reshelve books after they are returned. Training will be provided.
