Gresham police are offering a $2,500 reward for help finding a man who killed a local resident last weekend.
Agustin Joaquin-Francisco, 27, died at Legacy Emanuel Hospital and Health Center at about midnight Sunday, Nov. 26. He'd been hit in the head with a beer bottle during a fight the night before.
The man had been in a altercation involving two groups of people and two vehicles on Southeast Yamhill Street between 190th and 196th Avenue some time after midnight Saturday, Nov. 25. At about noon, his brother brought him to Gresham Urgent Care. He was later transported to Legacy Emanuel, where he died overnight.
On Friday, Dec. 1, officers began dropping off stacks of fliers publicizing the award at businesses throughout Gresham, said Sgt. Teddi Anderson, a Gresham police spokeswoman.
The reward is being offered to anyone providing information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the murder.
The East County Major Crimes Team is investigating the case. Neither a suspect, nor a motive has been identified.
Anyone with information about the victim or the incident is encouraged to call the Gresham police tip line at 503-618-2719 or 1-888-989-3505.
