Santa – and toys – coming to Cornelius Saturday

Santa Claus will take a break from his busy schedule this weekend to visit with some of his favorite firefighters and support their local toy drive.

Parents are welcome to bring their children to the Cornelius Fire Station between 9 a.m. and noon on Saturday, Dec. 9 to visit with Santa, as well as see the fire engines and meet the firefighters.

Firefighters from Forest Grove Fire and Rescue and the Cornelius Fire Department will be on hand to help Santa collect donations of new unwrapped toys during the event. The toys will be distributed to needy families later this month.

Parents who want to take a picture of their child with Santa will need to bring their own camera. There is no fee for this event, although the donation of a new toy is appreciated.

The Cornelius Fire Department is located at 1311 North Barlow St. behind the Cornelius Library and City Hall buildings. For questions about this event please contact Forest Grove Fire and Rescue at 503-992-3240 or the Cornelius Fire Department at 503-357-3840.
