Boxers bury Lions from long range

Pacific uncorked a dizzying display of long range marksmanship last Tuesday, burying a school-record 21 3-pointers in a 111-71 win over Multnomah in men's basketball action.

It was the Boxers' first win of the season and it certainly came in spectacular form.

'It was good to knock down a high percentage of our shots and put some points on the board,' said head coach Jason Lowery.

Pacific made an astounding 51 percent of its shots from 3-point range (21 for 41), with freshman Thomas Bright coming off the bench to pour in 25 points. Donnie Harrison-Davis added 21 points, including five treys.

The Boxers (2-4, 1-1) also split a pair of Northwest Conference games on Friday and Saturday, beating Whitman 65-46 but falling to Whitworth 62-57.

Next up for Pacific is a home game on Saturday against Cascade, followed by a week-long layoff.
