Girls basketball -- Sherwood limits South Albany, Cleveland to 33 total points
Two more games, two more big wins for the Lady Bowmen.
The Sherwood High School girls basketball team, rolling to a pair of lopsided, non-league victories, improved their early-season record to 3-0.
On Friday, Sherwood scored a 58-12 win over South Albany in a game played at Sherwood High School.
Junior Brooke Davis scored 13 points for the Lady Bowmen in the victory. Senior Alli Hunt added nine points while Megan Van Noy and Lauren Floyd each scored eight.
Sherwood followed up that win on Tuesday by posting a 76-21 win over Cleveland in a non-league contest played at Cleveland High School.
Sophomore Lauren Codling paced the Lady Bowmen in that win with 17 points.
Floyd and Brittany Morales each reached double figures with 10 points and Davis added eight.
Sherwood will be back in action Friday when it plays at Corvallis in a non-league game starting at 7 p.m.
On Tuesday, the Lady Bowmen will play Gladstone, a former Tri-Valley League foe, in a contest starting at 7:15 p.m. at Gladstone High School.
