Suspect hit with 10 counts of murder
Serrano held in Bethany family's Nov. 3 shooting deaths
A 31-year-old Aloha man arrested in connection with the deaths of three Bethany residents was indicted Tuesday on 10 counts of aggravated murder.
Sgt. David Thompson, a spokesman for the Washington County Sheriff's Office, said a county grand jury issued the indictment against Ricardo Serrano.
'He was arraigned and charged today (Wednesday),' Thompson said.
Serrano was arrested Nov. 28, charged in the shooting deaths of Melody Dang, 37, and her two sons, Steven, 15, and Jimmy, 12.
Thompson declined to reveal the aggravating circumstances in the case.
Robert Bletko, the chief deputy district attorney assigned to the case, was out of town Wednesday and couldn't be reached for comment.
The bodies of Melody, Steven and Jimmy Dang were discovered in the early morning of Nov. 3 inside the family's home at 2902 N.W. Telshire Terrace.
Law enforcement officials have said there was some type of relationship between the suspect and victims, and that it did not appear to be a random crime.
Serrano is being held at the Washington County Jail without bail.
The multiple killings are believed to be the worst in the county in more than 15 years.
