Man stabbed in Aug. 7 attack dies
UPDATE • Two men now face murder charges in the case
Two Portland men face murder charges the man they are accused of stabbing Aug. 7 died.
Portland police said Michael Alfred Mccord, 40, and David Arnold Black, 26, will be charged with murder. They were arrested Aug. 9 and charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and possession of methamphetamine. They were lodged in the Multnomah County Detention Center.
Mccord and Black are accused of stabbing Mark Edward Olson. He was found by police around 6:03 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, inside the apartment building where he lives at 2151 N.W. Johnson St. Olson was in critical condition at a local hospital.
