Rethinking Portland

Everybody has an opinion about traffic and congestion in the Portland region.

And their opinions usually are shaped by where they live and where they work.

Congestion is only going to get worse. Regional planners predict a million more people will move to Portland in the next 20 years.

The Nov. 28 edition of Rethinking Portland took a look at the region's transportation future and what is being done to keep us out of gridlock. It is the fourth installment in our ongoing in-depth examination of the issues facing our community.

If you missed it, you can find it online or get a paper copy by calling our circulation department, 503-546-9810.

Once you've read our report, let us know how you think our region's transportation officials should move ahead by e-mailing us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
