Anniversary - Marvin and Dorothy Ogle

The daughters of Marvin and Dorothy Ogle hosted an afternoon high tea for 95 guests to mark the Gresham couple's 60th wedding anniversary on Nov. 11.
The Ogles were married November 30, 1946, in Vancouver, Wash. She was 17, and he was headed for the U.S. Navy.
'I had a steady job,' quips Ogle, 'I was in the Navy.'
He served for eight years and then came home to work for Moen Machinery Co. Ogle has been a member of the Mt. Hood Community College Foundation Board, as well as the Gresham Elks and Gresham Masonic Lodge. He set a record by being president in the same year of both the Gresham Chamber of Commerce and the Gresham Jaycees.
Dorothy Ogle retired after years of working in sales at Gordon Stone's and Pauletta's. She was a member of the Jaycettes.
Their daughters and friends and family prepared a five-course gourmet tea for the 60th wedding party that was held at Mountainview Christian Church. Six grandchildren helped prepare and serve the food and granddaughter Katie Krueger sang to the couple. The finale was wedding cake.
