Garfield woman reports knife wielder in her house
Sheriff's deputies find no one, investigate all possibilities
A Garfield woman reported to sheriff's deputies last week that she was attacked in her home by one or two men with a knife, but officers could not find the attackers.
Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to 33000 block of Southeast Divers Road just after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6, where they searched with an Oregon City K-9 officer for more than two hours, but did not locate either suspect.
Jamie Ahlquist told deputies that she came down stairs and confronted someone in her house. He turned on her with a knife before fleeing the house. There may have been two men, Ahlquist told deputies. She also reported her phone line was cut, according to CCSO Sgt. Matt Ellington.
Ahlquist was not able to give deputies a description of either man.
'At this point I couldn't even tell you who to look out for,' Ellington said. 'Just take normal precautions. I don't see any need for any heightened alert.'
Five Clackamas County Sheriff's deputies and one Oregon City officer with a K-9 responded to the incident.
No one required medical attention, according to Ellington.
The sheriff's office is still investigating the incident. 'We're looking at all possibilities,' Ellington said.
