The St. Helens School District has hired a former Reynolds School District psychologist as its new middle school assistant principal.

Michael Salitore brings with him experience working for the Reynolds School District, within the Marine Corps and years of volunteer service. He has a passion for educating and creating systems that help students succeed, according to a district press release.

He replaces former assistant principal Tim Olietti.
