Gresham woman arrested during drug raid
Police served search warrants at four locations - including an address in Gresham and a Portland food cart - and arrested a local woman on allegations of drug dealing.
At 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, police arrested Shauna Jones, 34, of Gresham near her apartment in the 600 block of Southeast 190th Avenue on allegations of possession, delivery and conspiracy to deliver cocaine, said Lt. Steve Alexander, sheriff's office spokesman. She has since been released.
The arrest was part of an investigation regarding drug dealing in which the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office served search warrants early Thursday, at the following locations:
• Jones' apartment in the 600 block of Southeast 190th Avenue
• an apartment in the 11900 block of Southeast Ash Street in Portland
• a house in the 6600 block of Southeast 72nd Avenue in Portland
• a food cart and a motorhome on the corner of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Dekum Street
Detectives reportedly found small amounts of cocaine, marijuana, drug scales, drug packaging materials and cutting agents - used to dilute and increase the amount of cocaine for sale on the street - at the locations.
At the food cart, which serves sandwiches, detectives also reported finding marijuana, drug scales, packaging materials and cutting agents.
'Detectives believe it was a front for the drug operation,' Alexander said.
More arrests are expected. Specialty teams from Portland and Gresham police departments, as well as the East Metro SWAT Team and East County Gang Enforcement Team, assisted with the case.
