True education reform? Not likely

Food pod a great idea for Gresham
I enjoyed reading the article 'Dump the Beige: downtown Gresham needs color,' (in the Aug. 3 issue of The Outlook).
I love the ideas proposed and especially City Councilor Lori Stegmann's idea about having a 'food cart pod' in Rockwood. My husband and I travel into Portland to eat at the different cart pods once or twice a week from Gresham.
We have thought many times that Rockwood would be ideal because we are lucky to have so many different ethnic cultures living in East County and people might want the opportunity to open a food cart. This is a really hot trend right now, and it would be a shame to miss this opportunity. We certainly have the perfect location near MAX, and we certainly could make this a more vital area of Gresham.
I say, 'Build the pod and they will come.'
