Cinema Under the Stars
WHAT: Cinema Under the Stars wraps up its summer season with a screening of 'Despicable Me,' a PG-rated animated movie. Hosted by the Greater Gresham Area Prevention Partnership.
WHEN: Saturday, Aug. 20. The movie starts at dusk.
WHERE: H.B. Lee Middle School, 1121 N.E. 172nd Ave. Bring a blanket or lawn chair.
COST: Free to attend. School booster clubs and other groups will provide concessions, with proceeds funding school improvements.

WHAT: The West Columbia Gorge Chamber of Commerce invites people to tour eight uniquely inspired gardens in or around Bridal Veil, Corbett, Gresham and Troutdale. The tour ends at 4 p.m. with an 'Art of Community' reception at the Troutdale home of Linda and Terry Cook.
WHEN: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20.
WHERE: Various locations. Attendees will receive a map to follow a self-guided tour.
COST: Tickets are $20 (free for children) and can be purchased at eastsidegardentour.com or at the Harlow House museum, 726 E. Historic Columbia River Highway, on the day of the tour.
