Portland park to replace asphalt with community garden
Volunteers wanted to work on Depave project
Wanna help unpave paradise and take down a parking lot?
Depave and the city of Portland's community gardens program will remove 10,000 square feet of asphalt on Saturday, Aug. 20, to make way for a new community garden at Frazer Park.
Volunteers are invited to help with the project at Northeast 52nd Avenue and Hassalo Street. Tools, safety gear, snacks and lunch will be provided. Volunteer registration begins at 8:45 a.m. Participants should wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.
