The Clackamas Review wins statewide awards
The Clackamas Review received two journalism awards last weekend through the Society of Professional Journalists' contest for Oregon and Southwest Washington.
News Editor Raymond Rendleman won first place in the Consumer and Lifesyles category for an April 5, 2011, story titled 'A building rebound?' It discussed improving numbers for home sales in Happy Valley following the foreclosure crisis.
Reporter Ellen Spitaleri won third place in the Environmental category for the Aug. 25, 2011, story 'Bike race course trashes Three-Creeks area,' which detailed the efforts of conservationists and Clackamas County to clean up the mess and prevent future damage.
The awards, judged by SPJ members in other states, were given May 19 in Portland.
