Sandy High actors shine in 'My Very Own Story'
Sandy High drama does it again, bringing an energetic, unexpected and entertaining evening of theater to the community with their spring production, 'My Very Own Story.'
This mystery/fantasy/comedy is by Alan Ayckbourn, one of the most produced English playwrights since Shakespeare .
This production shows off the talents and creativity of Sandy drama students both onstage and off. Elements of fairy tale, chiller and modern romance make up this unusual story within a story within a story.
This production will be Sandy High's final theatrical production in the 'old' high school's 'cafegymatorium,' as it has become fondly known. Even though this is a challenging space, director Chris Harris and his students have created amazing theatrical magic in staging comedies, musicals and serious dramas.
If you have appreciated the live productions of the Sandy High performing arts department (the fall musical 'The Drowsy Chaperone' got raves and full houses) then don't miss this one.
If you've been meaning to catch a Sandy High show, catch this one. You'll be glad you did. It run May 24, 25, 26.
