Bus driver and students uninjured
A North Clackamas School District bus, carrying the driver and two students, was sideswiped by another vehicle Thursday morning at the intersection of Southeast Hogan Road and Butler Road.
The bus driver and students were uninjured; however, a spokeswoman for the North Clackamas School District reported the other driver was hurt, though she did not know the extent of those injuries. Leslie Robinette, the district spokeswoman, said reports indict that the second driver crossed the center line and sideswiped the bus.
the north Clackamas bus was on its way to drop the two elementary students at the Pathways Program - a special education program - in Gresham.
This wasn't the only bus-related incident for the North Clackamas County School district.
In a second incident Thursday, an autistic student was taken in protective custody after allegedly assaulting a school bus driver at about 9:15 a.m.
There were about seven students on the bus during the incident, which occurred along Sunnyside Road near Southeast 157th Avenue in Happy Valley.
The bus driver was treated for minor injuries at Kaiser Sunnyside Hospital.
