Not your average farmer

The Boring Farmers Market includes a growing number of vendors each week, offering plants and veggie starts, fresh vegetables in season, a variety of handcrafts and stained glass items hanging from tree branches as well as photography, handmade soap and cut flowers.

If that isn't enough to entice local residents, market operators Linda and D.W. Owens also have a small garage sale near the market. The couple, owners of Linal Art Stained Glass, conduct the market in their landscaped property near the stained glass studio in downtown Boring.

The market is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Sept. 29. There are still openings for produce and arts and crafts vendors.
