County reopens upper Larch Mountain Road
Multnomah County has reopened the upper section of Larch Mountain Road beyond milepost 10 in rural East County.
Larch Mountain Road is the highest road in Multnomah County's jurisdiction, reaching an altitude of 4,055 feet.
Each winter, the county closes public access to recreation areas off upper Larch Mountain Road by installing a snow gate. Once snow levels drop, the county opens the road for recreational users, allowing vehicles to access the view parking lot at milepost 14.5.
