by: Milwaukie Police Department, An employee of Purdy's Carwash in Milwaukie was injured May 30 when a truck went out of control and struck a wall. The crash also temporarily closed the carwash.

An employee of Purdy's Carwash in Milwaukie was injured last week when a driver lost control of his pickup and crashed into a carwash wall.

Milwaukie police said employee Regino Colop-Morales of Milwaukie was briefly pinned between the truck and a carwash wall. He was taken to Providence Milwaukie Hospital for treatment of what police said were non-life threatening injuries. He will return to work soon.

The crash happened at about 12:27 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, when 87-year-old Donald Ives of Milwaukie apparently hit the accelerator instead of the brake on his 2004 Ford F150 pickup while trying to line his truck up for the carwash.

The building suffered damages and the carwash was temporarily closed for repairs.
