Milwaukie woman strikes pedestrian
Oregon State Police troopers are continuing the investigation into Saturday night's serious injury pedestrian-involved traffic crash on McLoughlin Boulevard near Concord Avenue south of Milwaukie.
On June 2 at approximately 9:30 p.m., Richard Olsen, 41, from Gresham, was attempting to cross Highway 99E north of Concord Avenue in a non-crosswalk area when he was struck by a 1995 Isuzu Trooper driven by Melissa Ball from Milwaukie. Lt. Gregg Hastings of the Oregon State Police said the Isuzu was traveling in the right hand northbound lane when it struck Olsen as he was crossing the highway from the west side to the east.
Olsen was transported by ambulance to Oregon Health and Sciences University for treatment of serious injuries.
Ball was not injured.
OSP Portland Area Command office Trooper Ted Moisan is the lead for the continuing investigation.
