DHS employee flips Taurus on Springwater

Road closed for an hour on Thursday afternoon

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office issued no citations after finding a Ford Taurus flipped over on its top on Springwater Road on Thursday at about noon near Harding Road in Oregon City.

The driver and sole occupant, Jamie Hanson, 29, of Vancouver, Wash., reported attempting to swerve to avoid a pickup truck pulling out into the intersection, losing control of her car and crashing.

Police discovered Hanson was at work at the time of the single-vehicle crash on June 7 and is employed the state of Oregon DHS offices, assigned to the Child Welfare Unit in North Clackamas County. Witnesses confirmed Hanson's version of events.

Hanson was transported by AMR ambulance to the Oregon Health Sciences University hospital with an unknown level of injury.

During the crash response and investigation, Springwater Road was closed intermittently for about an hour. Clackamas Fire District No. 1 also responded to crash.
