Wik wins OC Golf Tournament
Anthony Wik of Milwaukie won the Men's Division of the 44th annual Oregon City Golf Club Amateur Championship, held the weekend of June 2-3.
Wik, whose home course is Stone Creek Golf Club, sank a six-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole for a one-shot victory over Cheol Wan Lee of Corvallis (Spring Hill Country Club).
Wik had rounds of 72 and 69 for a score of 141 for the stroke-play event. Wan Lee had mirror rounds of 71 and 71. Jason Wood (Eastmoreland Golf Course) and Andy Rodby (Juniper Golf Club) both scored 144 and tied for third place.
Codie Anderson (Arrowhead Golf Club) beat Matt Clemo (Meriwether Golf Club) by a stroke with rounds of 68 and 68 for low-net honors.
Joe Vaughan (Rose City Golf Club) of Portland ran away with first place in the senior division of the tournament, with rounds of 72 and 70, for a score of 142. Jay Robinson of King City shot 150 (77, 73) for second place. It was Vaughan's second title in the senior division.
David Bailey of Oregon City Golf Club won low net in the senior division, with scores of 67 and 69.
