Former Oregon City High School softball standout Heather Winslow excelled as a first baseman at Willamette University this spring.
Winslow, a freshman who started in 33 games, was recently selected to the All-Northwest Conference Second All-Star Team.
She compiled a .345 batting average, with 14 extra-base hits, including five home runs.
She was second on the team with 26 runs scored and 20 RBI. She was 9-of-10 on stolen base attempts, and she had 215 putouts at first base, en route to a .982 fielding percentage.
A two-time first-team All-Three Rivers League selection, Winslow was her team's leading hitter her senior year at Oregon City High School.
