Teenager falls through Wizer's skylight

Women tell police they were stargazing

Two teenagers told police they were 'stargazing' before one fell through a skylight in the roof of the Wizer's building in the wee hours of Monday morning.

Police responded to the market, on First Street downtown, after receiving a call at 12:39 a.m. Monday. The business's owner was also called to come and unlock the door.

The woman who fell was 18 years old. According to police dispatch records, medical workers also responded, as she might have suffered a broken ankle in the fall. Her friend did not appear to be injured.

Police Capt. Dale Jorgensen said the young ladies reached a civil compromise with Wizer's to pay for building damages. No other information was available about the incident, he said.
