Man accused of molesting WL girl

Former resident charged with first-degree sodomy


A former West Linn resident was arrested Monday on charges related to the sexual abuse of a young girl who is a family member.Wesley Allen Ramage Jr.

Wesley Allen Ramage, 66, was arrested in Lincoln City and was charged Tuesday with two counts of first-degree sodomy.

According to West Linn Sgt. Neil Hennelly, Ramage used to live in West Linn and the assaults happened here three to five years ago. The girl was preschool-aged when the alleged crimes occurred, but only recently did the girl come forward with the information.

"Only recently did it come to light that it happened years ago," Hennelly said.

Ramage is being held in Clackamas County Jail with a bail of $250,000. First-degree sodomy is punishable by a mandatory minimum sentence of 8 years and 4 months in prison, according to state law.
