Art Splash 2012 - Annual art show and sale at Tualatin Commons July 20 through July 22, sponsored by the city of Tualatin. Features art, jewelry, ceramics, music, food and fun. More than 50 artists will showcase their work in watercolors, acrylics, photography, oil and other media. Evening concerts by the lake will start at 6:30 p.m. Friday's concert features Tom Grant Band. On Saturday, enjoy Mary Kadderley Trio. Attic Gallery - 206 S.W. Buffalo Grass Art Society to hold its 44th annual art show and sale - July 15 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Mountain Park Recreation Center, 2 Mt. Jefferson Terrace. Admission is free. Enjoy live jazz music and refreshments. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Oregon Humane Society. The Oregon Society of Artists' Large and Small Format Show - The Oregon Society of Artists will open the Large and Small Format Show with a reception July 8 from 1 to 4 p.m. The exhibit will be on display through July 27. The OSA gallery is located at 2185 S.W. Park Place in Portland.

The Stafford Boutique Retirement Community, 1200 Overlook Drive, Lake Oswego - Showing the art of local artist Susan Geraci beginning July 6 and running through Aug. 1. An opening reception will be held July 6 from 4 to 5 p.m. with wine, appetizers and music by pianist Michael Casey.

Trinity Episcopal Cathedral - 147 N.W. 19th Ave., Portland - showing "Connections Art and Poetry" by Pattie Palmer-Baker July 13 through Sept. 30. An open reception is planned for July 13 from 6 to 8 p.m in Kempton Hall. The artist will read her poetry at 7 p.m. Palmer-Baker is a poet/calligrapher/paper collage artist who creates original art using all three skills. Using a centuries-old technique, her paper has highly textured surfaces with vibrant color shifts that can be assembled into an almost three-dimensional collage.

Trios Studio - 3 Monroe Parkway Suite I, Lake Oswego - "Women & Metals: Forging Ahead." Show celebrates the work of three emerging women metalsmiths, Elizabeth Emerson, Devi Morris and Peggy Foy, from July 14 to Aug. 18. The show is intended to bring exposure and experience to the next generation of women metalsmiths.
