Hillsboro author Tonya Macalino has released her debut novel, the paranormal sci-fi thriller 'Spectre of Intention,' which is currently available through Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
The novel tells the story of a woman living in a futuristic society who possesses the ability to see the 'ghosts' of people's intentions, a precognitive talent she learns to use as a weapon of sorts. She soon becomes involved in a web of intrigue, with her own personal history as a thief and street hustler haunting her every step aboard a futuristic cruise ship acting as transport for a 'space elevator.'
Macalino, a mother of two and 1996 graduate of the Pacific University creative writing program, is hosting a signing reception for 'Spectre of Intention' on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 5:30 p.m. at Jacobson's Books and More (211 E. Main St., Hillsboro).
