Richard 'Rick' Clyde Ross
Richard 'Rick' Clyde Ross, a Lake Oswego resident, died Aug. 12, 2011 in a Tualatin hospital from a heart attack.
Mr. Ross was born to Elmer and Barbara Ross in Portland on Nov. 27, 1953 and lived most of his life in Lake Oswego, graduating from Lake Oswego High School in 1972.
Mr. Ross had a variety of careers, including long haul truck driver, card dealer in Reno, cab driver and school bus driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and playing cards.
He is survived by his partner, Lisa Gilbert Compton of Lake Oswego, brothers Mike (Margie) of Milwaukie and Chris (Ruthy) of Duvall, Wash., and sisters Kathy (Chuck) of St. Helens and Peggy of Seattle. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
According to family, 'Rick had many lifelong friends and his kind spirit and sense of humor will be missed by all.'
There was a private gathering for friends and family at the Firehouse Pub on Sunday, Aug. 21. Following cremation by the Oregon Cremation Co., his ashes will be spread at the Oregon coast near Seaside.
