Sherwoods Pix on the Plaza continue for next two weeks

The movies shown at the citys new Cannery Square Plaza continue for the next two weeks

With summer in full swing, the city of Sherwood is inviting residents and visitors to come down to Old Town Sherwood on Friday evenings throughout the month for movies and a chance to visit local businesses. From 6 to 9 p.m., special activities such as wine tasting, art classes, live performances, special offers and more will be available for the Sherwood Main Street-sponsored program.

The popular summer movie series began Aug. 10 and continues having been moved to the new Cannery Square Plaza. Re-dubbed "Pix on the Plaza", the movie series features fun family movies including “Dolphin Tale” (PG) on Aug. 17 and “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax” (PG) on Aug 24.

Kids’ activities and food will be available starting at 7 p.m. with the movies starting at dusk. In addition to the city of Sherwood and Sherwood Main Street Program, sponsors include Capstone Partners, Sherwood Cultural Arts Commission, Hungry Raccoon, McCabe Real Estate Group and Les Schwab.
