A 26-year-old Corbett man was hospitalized after he reportedly swerved to avoid a deer and rolled his car down a cliff off of Interstate 84 near Corbett.
Reserve officers with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office spotted the man walking along I-84 on Sunday morning, Aug. 28, said Lt. Steven Alexander. The man said he avoided a deer in the road and crashed his Honda around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, going over the embankment.
Oregon State Police had towed the car as abandoned by the time reserve officers found the man. The man had vague memories of what happened between the time of the accident and when the officers found him, Alexander said.
The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment, Alexander said.
