Matchmaking in HR is topic of FORGE luncheon

Forums On Real Growth and Education (FORGE) will host a matchmaking in HR event from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18 at Marylhurst University in the administration building.

The event will feature a panel discussion with HR experts from various fields.

The panel will teach employers to find the idea candidate for any job.

The panel will feature Kim Parker, director of Workforce Investment Council, Mary Lou Keeran, staffing manager of New Seasons, Renee Starr, attorney specializing in employment, and Kim Freeman, area manager of WorkSource Oregon.

Tickets for the event are $20 for Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce members and $25 for non-members. FORGE is a program of the Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce and is sponsored by Marylhurst University.

Attend a seminar on Social Security benefits

Learn more about Social Security benefits and retirement at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 13 and Sept. 27 in the Pacific West Bank Building at 2040 Eighth St., West Linn.

The seminars will discus how Social Security works for workers and spouses, when to start receiving benefits and opportunities to increase benefits through retirement.
