This Saturday, tell a cop “thank you.”

That’s the message of the inaugural national “Tell a Police Officer ‘Thank You’ Day,” Sept. 15, sponsored by The Whole Truth Project and created with the goal of supporting police who risk their lives daily to protect their communities. On that day, citizens are encouraged to show appreciation to their local police officers, even if its only a simple, “thank you.”

“I believe we have one of the finest police forces in Oregon,” said Police Commissioner and St. Helens City Councilor Keith Locke in a press release.
