Patricia Kopetski

June 7, 1948 - Aug. 10, 2012

Patricia “Patty” Patch Kopetski died Aug. 10, 2012. She was 64.

Mrs. Kopetski was born to John and Michelina Patch in Superior, Mont. She was raised in the nearby town of Alberton. She graduated from high school in 1966, then moved to Washington, D.C., where she worked for the U.S. Navy.

She married Michael Kopetski and the couple moved to Oregon in 1974, where their son Matthew was born. After divorcing in 1977, Mrs. Kopetski made her home in Lake Oswego. She worked for the city of Lake Oswego for 30 years before retiring in 2006.

Mrs. Kopetski’s Italian-American/Montana roots were a cherished aspect of her life. She made countless trips over Lookout Pass to her childhood home for spaghetti dinners with family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and reading and was an avid fan of Portland’s blues and jazz music.

A celebration of Mrs. Kopetski’s life will be held Nov. 3 at 11 a.m. at Wilf’s, 800 N.W. Sixth Ave., in Portland.

A celebration of the life of Wandalee Cole will be held at 1 p.m. on Sept. 30 in the auditorium at Mary’s Woods in Lake Oswego.
