Pedestrian hospitalized in North Portland hit and run accident

Supect vehicle located but no arrests made yet
Police are investigating a Monday night hit and run accident in North Portland that seriously injured a pedestrian.
Teairra Benjamin, 21, of North Portland suffered non-life-threatening but traumatic head injuries.
Although the suspect vehicle was later located, no one has yet been arrested.
According to police, the accident occurred at 11:09 p.m. on Sept. 17 in the intersection of North Columbia Boulevard and Bank Street. Arriving officers located the victim, who was transported to an area hospital.
A witness described the suspect vehicle as a black smaller SUV that was westbound on North Columbia Boulevard when it struck the victim. Traffic investigators responded to the scene and later located the vehicle parked in an apartment complex West of the crash location.
